Sept 22 - Floras Lake

3784km
Langlois, OR, USA - Floras Lake
Sailworks NX 7.8, Bolt 125, MFC KPR-44 Wind: 10G18 knots
Launched about 2:30, wind was a little light but made some planing runs then took a break and talked with Will Brady at the Kite/Windsurfing lesson shop. Went back for a few runs about 4:30. Wind was a little stronger and easier to get on a plane but still took about 1/2 the width of the lake to catch a good gust. When up on a plane, the NX 7.8 felt comfortable and controllable. Managed to biff a jibe on the ocean side by not getting the rear foot out of the strap soon enough - fell in, left knee hit the sand and wrenched my left hip - what a klutz... made a couple more runs and called it a day as the wind was starting to fade anyway.

On the positive side, getting into the rear foot straps with one quick jam of the foot is still working as per a month ago. Got a couple of comfortable, quick-for-the-wind-conditions runs, which felt good. Tried to hang-out farther (Taty style) which also felt comfortable.

Good to see you got a session Barton.

Thanks Roo.  Nice to back on the water, even if it requires 'pumping practice' to get moving :) .
Looking forward to when I'll be able to sail almost every day rather than once a month...
